Well, it's all falling into place... just not the place I want, lol!
Doctor called today and my acth test results came back consistent with what I had felt -- big cortisol response. And we went back in time through my chart and she figures this thing has been growing for over a year. She says it's time to go on sick leave from work... apparently not having cortisol to mediate the stress response can be quite dangerous (ahhh, the irony of it all, lol... ).
Ah well, at least I don't have it like a guy my dad used to work with who had a cortisol deficiency -- Dad says everyone could tell when he had forgotten to take his cortisol pills because "he was crazy on those days!! Hurtling a scalpels across the room during surgery... totally nuts!" (veterinarians). I have my moments, but thankfully not quite that bad... hopefully they'll fix this before I start winging sharp objects around! So far, I've just had a few days where I've been pretty much out of it... guess I'm lucky!
I had an appointment to start the process of getting a will drawn up today. Hardest thing in the world trying to lay out where my kids will go.... always knew it would be which is why i could never do it before. But I made a decision, and it's going on official paper.
Anywayyyy... despite not feeling so great, I had an awesome weekend... I made up my mind that I'm going to have fun while I still can!!! So this weekend, there was this big event at the Pogue (my favourite live-music pub) with all kinds of bands, and b/c it was during the afternoon-evening, I could take my boyz... I'm so glad we went because my kids had the time of their lives!!! They met all kinds of musicians, Jesse played guitar with a guy from this rock band called "Never" and the guy gave him an autographed CD... the boy was in heaven!!! Too bad about the damn liquor laws though... we had to be out of there by 9:00 right in the middle of having the best time ever... oh well, c'est la vie.
Happy Hallowe'en my friends!!! Go eat lots of candy and scare some kids!!!

Hi Susan, Hell yes I rated it and I bought it too, I think it is a great game. A litle frustrating at times but what would it be like if it was easy. My wife was like you, she had everything taken care of right down to where her jewelry was to go. It was tough, but we knew aboiut 6 months in advance that it had become terminal and it wasn't until the last month that she became invalid. I think the hardest day was going with her to buy her casket. The second hardest is standing on my grave to talk to her now. Do everything with your boys you can. Give them the best memories possible. I know that you have given them a great upbringing so far, that is evident. Here is to hoping that I get to talk to you for some time yet. I new that there was a reason I posted your link on my space. Ciao Bella Amici, Lance
